Relocating Oldfields plastic bottle plant delivers
2009-07-27

In early August Oldfields is moving its plastic bottle plant from rented premises in Fairfield to its Head Office in Campbelltown in south-west Sydney.

This move will have immediate cost benefits to the business as well as delivering a larger facility that should have a significant impact on manufacturing efficiencies and throughput.

The bottles are manufactured for consumption by Oldfields H&O division.

CEO Anthony Mankarios said, "Moving the bottle manufacturing plant to Campbelltown will deliver immediate benefits to H&O. The area set aside for this manufacturing is physically better laid out delivering increased efficiencies just through workflow improvements."

Oldfields H&O division manufactures a wide range of cleaning products as well as carrying out contract filling for a number of third-parties.

Oldfields is a 92 year old Australian company (ASX:OLH).

Oldfields Treco exports continue despite GFC
2009-07-24

The Treco division of Oldfields (ASX:OLH) continues to ship garden sheds across the world from its Head Office and manufacturing plant located in Sydney.

Treco manager Ian Clement said "We are really pleased that our export market has sustained itself, particularly in Europe in the current economic climate".

The quality of Treco garden sheds has contributed to the ongoing strength of the export market as well as Oldfields' overseas marketing efforts. This year Treco will be represented at SPOGA the largest Garden and outdoor trade show in Europe being held in Cologne between 6 and 8 September 2009.

Exporting to several countries across Europe as well as New Zealand and several countries in the Asia-Pacific region the Treco shed has a reputation as being a strong, reliable shed that will provide years of trouble free use in addition to excellent support in these markets.

With the Australian market moving out of winter the expectation is that demand for Treco sheds will remain strong. Available through a national network of distributors that is under constant development Treco sheds remain a core product for the Oldfields group.

Australian Army Aviation flies high with Oldfields
2009-07-21

Australian Army Aviation (AAAvn) added a new weapon to their arsenal when they took delivery of customised aluminium scaffolding structures designed and built by Oldfields to assist in the maintenance of their fleet of Blackhawk helicopters.

Designed to provide engineers with easy access to the helicopter while minimising the risk of accidental damage to the aircraft this unique aluminium structure was designed and built in Australia to meet the exacting requirements of the Australian Army.

"It was a real honour and privilege for Oldfields, a proud Australian company, to provide this service to our armed forces", said CEO Anthony Mankarios.

Built to specification in Oldfields scaffold manufacturing facilities the platform was designed to go around a Blackhawk helicopter allowing support staff to easily and quickly access all maintenance areas of the helicopter.

The manager of Oldfields scaffold division Maurie Abbott said "We were able to deliver this project to the Army with a minimum of fuss. Our engineering staff were able to design a solution that met the exact needs of Army Aviation assisting them in getting their job done quickly and safely".

Oldfields head office is located in Sydney with branches and agents located across the country.

Oldfields turns pink!
2008-03-27

Launched in October 2007, Oldfields Pty Ltd decided to help fund breast cancer research in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation with Oldfields new pink brush range.
Members of staff wanted to do something for the community that would benefit everyone. Oldfields sees cancer as touching everyone, someone knows someone touched by cancer. What better cause ...

With every purchase of a pink Oldfields paint brush $10.00 from the sale of the box will be going towards the National Breast Cancer Foundations.

It is with great pleasure that Oldfields can announce it has already raised $8,750.

Julie Kesby, an NBCF Speakers' Bureau Ambassador and breast cancer survivor, who accepted the cheque on behalf of the NBCF explained 'that the NBCF received $15M worth of donated funds last year and now have sufficient money generated such that all their operating costs are covered from interest on this money. Every cent of your donated money will therefore go into research to find a cure.'

About Oldfields 'Help to rid cancer one stroke at a time' campaign, Mrs Kesby said "It is wonderful to see so many paint and hardware stores supporting the Oldfields Pink brush. It is truly for a worthy cause."

Oldfields is helping to raise funds and awareness about the importance of research in finding the cure, finding the cause.

Initiatives such as the “Help to rid cancer one stroke at a time” promotion make a vital
contribution towards allowing the Foundation to continue its work.

By purchasing a pink Oldfields paint brush, you have the chance to make a real difference to many people’s lives – men, women and children!

These pink brushes are available from all good paint outlets.

Just think, every cent now goes directly to research into finding the cure to cancer!

Bristol Awards
2005-11-14

Hi Team,

I would like everyone to know that Oldfields Paint Applications took out a prestigious Supplier of the Year Award 2005 with one of our major customers Barlow World ( Bristol) last Friday night. I would like to congratulate all the sales and logistics team for a job well done.

In particular Kerry Andrew Jones who also took out the best account manager of the year award at the same presentations

A job well done Kerry. It was good to see acknowledgement for the million dollar club award with Bristol as well. Good to see we took out all three awards! Terrific!

It is a good time to reflect on the team effort and our corporate ethos that this company stands for. This award along with last weeks best OH&S product award 2005 for Oldfields Access Pty Ltd clearly demonstrates how our company excels in all we do. This is due to the great team effort of all involved and it makes you proud to be associated with a company that is setting new bench marks within the industries we compete in.

Well Done!

HIA OH&S Award
2005-11-10

On Saturday 5th November 2005 Oldfields Access Pty Ltd were honoured to win the Housing Industry Association Vic (HIA) award for best OH&S product for 2005. This was presented for our Flexisafe temporary flooring system. The team at Access truly deserve the recognition for this genuinely superior product. The award recognises this is probably the toughest OH&S market in the country. I want to take this opportunity of congratulating Guy Punaro and the team for a job well done in getting us over the line given the short time frame we had to work with, to properly present and promote the product to the HIA judges.

Well done!! and much appreciated from evereyone in the company Guy. I want to also congratulate the rest of the Access team for their efforts in promoting the product, especially John Rogers for his innovative design. We couldn't have done it without John's effort.

This now allows the company to go out and win win win!!! All the major homebuilders were present at the award celebration. Along with this, we have been notified that Flexisafe has now been awarded trademark status.

Again, big congratulations to all concerned

Anthony Mankarios
